The Vertik-al powder coating process

The selection of powder coating technology offers the consumer an alternative to liquid coatings that is economical, efficient, and environmentally friendly. It produces a high quality finish and is available in a huge  range of colours, glosses, and finish textures.
The Vertik-al powder coating process is very simple - a suitable formulation is developed as a finely ground powder; the material is then sprayed on the surface to be coated as a thin layer held in place by static electricity. The part is placed in an oven to melt the powder which then flows and fuses into a continuous coating which is very hard and has no porosity. Because powder coating does not use solvents there are no chemicals released into the air. Over spray powder is captured in dust collectors and may be reused or baked to render it inert and disposable.  We are proud to work in partnership with our clients ensuring we improve our environment rather than change it.
Superior finishes combined with durability reduce maintenance and extend the life of coated products. Many product manufacturers are enjoying the top quality offered by powder coating. Auto parts are seeing the application of powder coating where a protective as well as decorative finish is desirable. The chip resistance and durability of powder coating is particularly beneficial in the harsh conditions endured by suspension parts.  Harley-Davidson motorcycle frames have all been powder coated at the factory since 1987.
Building products such as aluminum extrusions used for window and door frames are another area taking advantage of the durability of powder coating. Vertik-Al is a world class provider of aluminium powder coating products such as extrusions, cladding and rainwater goods for the architectural industry.
